Unique tableware
Sarita Koivukoski's hand-crafted ceramic dishes are each decorated with a unique pattern and combination of glazes. From a designer's point of view, Sarita views her square “Ruutu” dishes as an empty canvas, waiting to be filled with innovative patterns and motifs. Her ideas stem from the surrounding nature and from natural forms.
Each item is a unique work of art, and although all are different, they are designed to work as a group, offering a wonderful means for displaying food. All items are made of high-fired, durable stoneware, and are dishwasher and microwave safe. The small-scale production offers an ecological choice in ceramic tableware.
Sarita Koivukoski holds an MA from the Helsinki University of Art and Design. She designs and produces the dishes at her studio in Helsinki Cablefactory. Ceramics are Sarita's great passion and source of joy, and she hopes to share this through her work.
